Pine Lake
The lake has been known for its Crappie. Sizes range up to 14 inches with an average size around 9 - 10 inches. The Northern Pike fishing is also good with the average fish running around 25 inches. A 36 inch pike was brought in this January (2010) through the ice. The Large Mouth Bass run up to around 18 inches. A 5 pound Small Mouth Bass came in during the summer (2009). Like the Walleye and Perch, they are not as common but they are out there. There are plenty of pan fish averaging around 6 to 8 inches.
WINTER / ICE FISHING
Bring in your Biggest catch this season on the ice and we will enter it in our Fishin Fun Contest. We will add your picture and name to the list. The winners in each catagory will win credit towards bait in the shop.
So far we have seen: 32.5 inch Pike (Brandon Bickford), 13 inch Crappie (Justin Loofboro). Honorable Mention Pike 6 "buds" & 4 inches (Gordon Rowland). Danny Snyder brought one in from Gull Lake in February, 41 3/4 in. 18 pounds.
We are here 8am to 5pm Daily.
Pine Lake Boat & Motor stocks a full line of live bait. Summer baits include Golden Shiners, Fathead Minnows, & Crickets. We also carry waxworms, crawlers, and panfish worms.
When the ice comes with winter we add spikes and mousees. Tell us what you're looking for in bait. We order weekly to keep it fresh and will special order baits whenever possble.
The store is stocked with Hooks, Line, Ice Fishing Jigs, & Tip-ups. We also carry Mora & Lazer Augers and replacement blades.
